Becoming the Butterfly, Part I. The Journey of the Caterpillar on the Road to Path and Purpose.
Weekly Oracle Reading for 8/13 – 8/20/12. “Becoming the Butterfly.” Part I
In our quest for transformation of self, moving from caterpillar to butterfly, we must remember that there are times when we must let go of who we thought we were. Staying in the form of a caterpillar forever, slogging along in life amongst the trees, is NOT what this physical existence is meant to offer.
The caterpillar stage offers us the opportunity to learn and grow, feeding on all that we experience, in preparation for THE TRANSFORMATION. This transformation cannot occur until we accept the season of Winter, our time for rejuvenation, reflection, and inner seeking. It is only then that we can appraise the situations and experiences that have come before us as TRUTH or NOT TRUTH, and decide whether we are ready to emerge anew, changed and transformed, free to rise high above the trees, as a butterfly.
Personal Reflections
This message rings very true to me, as I am continuing to experience the need to let go of what others think. Just yesterday, my former “family” member tried to tell me that my path toward becoming a spiritual doctor may be derailed. I had to choose to release her from life, and walk away, because of her need to try to control me. It’s unfortunate when these life lessons occur, but it is important to stand in your truth, and believe in your own intuitive gifts.
In fact, the WordEnergy messages underlying these cards provided me this message of validation.
“Do not worry. Everything’s okay. Each one of you has individual rights and opinions. Forgive one person. Go back to school, and become a doctor. Make a new start and show them what you’ve got.”
So there it is. Where ever you are in your journey, know that the process of Becoming the Butterfly is always true. We must continue to trust in our own gifts, discovering the truth for ourselves, and moving forward away from those who think they have our best interests in mind. I did. And I know you can too! <3

Becoming the Butterfly - Message 1: “Believing what others say without determining the truth for yourself is foolish.”
What pieces do we need to examine in our lives in order to make this transformation to our authentic selves, and walk the path of purpose? This week’s oracle offers an expanded view of what this process looks like for us right now.
I have chosen to use 3 different oracle decks for a 9 card reading. The decks are : Crystal Ally Cards – row 1; Life Purpose Cards – row 2; Angel Blessings Cards – row 3. This is a 2 part exploration, as I will share the messages of the Butterfly using 2 very different methods. Part II will be unveiled next week..

Forgiveness * Vision * Music
At the heart of this reading, is the BodyWork card. This means this reading is focusing on self, and how we are physically manifesting our life purpose.
Row 1
CUPRITE AND FEMALE POWER. The entering energy for this week is about empowerment! As women, we are strong, stronger often than the men who stand beside us. Why? Because our strength lies within. Our intuitive gifts and power to create, nurture, and mother ground and connect us to the power of the Earth’s womb. All that you are, and can be, are hidden within the depths of your sacral (2nd) chakra, our Female Powerhouse. Know that you have the power to do and be all that you desire.
MALACHITE AND WILL. “Where there is a Will, there is a way.” The key to success lies in the heart, or middle card, of our Will. When we accept that we are empowered to create and be ourselves, our Will helps us to manifest those beliefs by igniting our passion and desires. The Will represents the solar plexus (3rd) chakra, the seat of self-esteem. When we allow this chakra full power, it can become overly masculine, demanding, and egoistIc. But when we pair our Will to act, with our Feminine Power to create in love, we are in alignment with making our dreams into reality.
KYANITE AND INNER BRIDGES. The final card, Inner Bridges, reminds us that there is inner work to be done in order to connect these two sources of manifestation. Like the Butterfly, we cannot achieve spiritual success and act on our Wills, and empower our creations, unless our intentions are of the highest purpose. This means that we must open our inner gates and allow the psychic energies to flow. Our intuitive, psychic guidance IS US. We are both physical and spiritual bodies, and when we open to our spirit bodies through intuition, we connect the Inner Bridges of physical psyche (mind) with spiritual psyche (intuition.)

Free will is our birthright, giving us the right to choose how far and where we go in life. But to evolve spiritually, by transcending the limitations of the physical plane, requires us to allow the divine within us to manifest through the right use of Will and our Female Power.

Sabian Symbol, position 146 – “After a storm, a rainbow appears.” Break the mold and go beyond your limits. Do not die with your dream inside. If you believe it, you can achieve it.”

FAMILY. BODYWORK. TRAVEL. Central to the message of becoming the butterfly, is to know that we are all part of one spiritual brotherhood. What one person, organization, state, country, continent, does affects another. There is no such thing as separateness. Even though we may be far away from each other, like dominos lined up one behind the other, in a gigantic pattern, we are all part of the Earth’s Transformation.
With Bodywork in the middle position , reminding us that our physical self and experiences are at the heart of this message, there are times when we must let go of our physical families – their beliefs, traditions, and desires for us, and move forward under our own steam, willingly embracing our global, spiritual family waiting for us on the path of transformation. Confirmation of this lies In the BodyWork picture. Here, a woman looks over her shoulder, not toward the past – where the Family card opens the energy, but to the present, where Travel resides.
Each of us must be free to make our own way in life, and experience things for ourselves. This resonates with the overall message that we must determine the truth for ourselves, and stop believing something just because it is “family” tradition, or because we must do what “family” says. This may even mean leaving your country, or religious beliefs, if they are your “family” connection.
The key? “If you love someone, set them free.” If the love was true, all will be reunited together again.

Sabian symbol, position 95. “At a railroad crossing, an automobile is wrecked by a train.” Everyone has a message. Don’t let yours be dismantled or destroyed before it ever had a chance to fly. Ask yourself, are you strong enough to share yours? All it takes is to re-discover yourself. Like the caterpillar who chooses the time to create its chrysalis, you too must choose to look forward to the new, and activate the divinely inspired, spiritual journey for yourself. Love yourself, and do it now. Show them what you’ve got.

FORGIVENESS. “Everything happens for a reason.” This message of forgiveness has been repeated consistently since January 2012 began. This card sits as a foundation card for the overall message, and is the entering energy for the conclusion of this message. It is impossible to move forward without letting something go. Forgiveness is the anti-dote for anger, resentment, and despair. We must stop doting and nurturing our anger, and move away from these negative patterns.
When we STOP holding others accountable for our emotions and experiences, and are willing to LOOK for the underlying messages with a LISTENING heart, we are FREE to receive the lesson behind it so that we can move on. We simply need to communicate that we will no longer let others be our authority, controlling our lives by their words, actions and deeds.
VISION. Once we have learned the lessons that we have received by forgiving others of the errors of simply being human, something we all are a party to, then we are free to Vision our lives in full. Life visions can only be attained when we release the chains of the past which keep us blaming others for our inability to grow. Visions help us to see what CAN BE and what WILL BE when we are on path. Visioning operates under the power of creativity, our powerful ally for spiritual success.
MUSIC. “It ain’t over until the fat lady sings.” The end of the caterpillar’s journey has been reached when we can hear the strains of our life song calling. You will notice synchronicities, signs, and new opportunities as everything begins to align in universal harmony.It is then we choose to embrace our chrysalis and move toward spiritual transformation.
Everyone has a song to sing, a purpose to walk, and a chance to lift hearts through your gifts and talents. If you are willing to bring these elements together, releasing the blame game through Forgiveness, and opening your soul to Vision what can be, then Becoming the Butterfly is your reward!

The future offers a fresh, clean slate. Stop blocking your blessings and change your perspective. Take back control of your life by asking what is standing in your way, Write your life vision. The Impossible can be Possible!
Becoming the Butterfly
TAKE ACTION: Make a vow to transform your life. Release anything that blocks you, let go of the chains of blame, regain your authority. Move forward and embrace your life vision. Your path is divinely inspired. There is nothing to fear when you are aligning with your own power, backed by the hands of the Divine Father.
Ask for help if you feel unable to move forward on your own. Seek out spiritual counsel, listen to messages of empowerment, meditate. Do whatever it takes to know thyself and bring your power back to you. Remember, only you can choose when to transform, and move into the chrysalis. Find your strength and know that you CAN achieve your goals.
