This year opened with a bang! As this is the year of the Hierophant, honoring a longing for creative self-expression and a love for knowledge of the five senses, explorations and journeys will be a huge draw. Life in its fullest expression will be our teacher. With this in mind, I chose cards from the “Wisdom of the Crone” deck for the end of the year inspirations.
The first five months were pivotal for us. The choices we made during this time determined the effectiveness and efficiency of how we will honor the remaining seven months. Let’s do a quick review.
JANUARY: CHALLENGE: Put your best foot forward, embrace your fears, and laugh off all who wish to darken your light. Embrace the teacher within or spiritual guidance without, to help you in your quest to meet the coming challenges of life.
FEBRUARY: GROWTH: Embrace the energy of the Empress. Seek the new and diverse as a valued teaching experience. Open your eyes and heart to a concept or person which challenges your belief in “what is right” and see the dignity and value of that which opposes you. Plant yourself firmly in the rich soil of acceptance, extend an olive branch to those you distrust and watch the seeds of awareness bear the fruits of change in how you communicate with those around you and with yourself.
MARCH: GRATITUDE: Through the tender acceptance of loss, we must remain grateful for the loving memories we still have within our hearts and minds, and seek ways to improve our health through play. Our bodies are our only vessels of experience in this physical reality. Let gratitude seep through your pores as a sign of comfort to the grief we have faced.
APRIL: FOCUS: Employ the energy of the Hierophant as the seeker of knowledge and the Hanged Man before you continue your journey. Focus on your goals by checking in with your own inner guidance and with trusted guides before you come to a decision. This is a time of waiting and research. Confusion may reign. But be assured that all things will open for you at just the right moment – Divine timing at work!
MAY: FREEDOM: Freedom often comes at great cost, but offers rewards for the free spirit. What have you chosen to do with the next seven months of your life? Trust that the guidance you have sought over the past four months, especially that which you found within, will be your best ally as you venture forward.
Moving into the next 7 months, if your shifts in consciousness have opened you to a sense of freedom to express who you really are, you will find that each subsequent month offers one more step toward the evolution of the soul. If you are still feeling stuck, no worries. The remaining months will continue to assist you to evolve toward your highest self.
The Choices you made, and make, this month toward the transformation of your soul will be worth it in the end.
JUNE: APPRECIATION
The Reward. For those that have seen growth within and without, you can now begin to appreciate the fruits of your labor. It is time to take ACTION toward your goals and move with inner faith in your abilities to produce the fruits of Summer. Your dreams are beginning to take form and substance. Let the NIGHT be your guide as you regenerate and rest from the day’s labors, and invite the guidance of your soul into your nightly dreams.
The Challenge: There seems to some issues of FORGIVENESS left to work on. Whether you still need to offer forgiveness to others, or it needs to be offered to you, know that it is in your best interest to either receive or give this gift of release now. Judgment is meaningless in the greater scheme of things as love is the only true currency we have. With June coming in as the 6th month, the Lovers archetype reinforces our lesson to heal through the application of love. Appreciate the lessons learned from the wounds of the path and take action to rectify any wrongs to the soul. Allow yourself to let no night end without offering a release of anger and resentment to either yourself or others. As you begin to release the burdens of disappointment you carry, the lightness you feel will bear you forward into action and discovery of truth.
June Forecast: Appreciation. This month take time to appreciate your dreams and begin to take action to implement them. Forgiveness saves!
JULY: TRANSFORMATION
The Reward. Can you smell it? Change is in the air and inside of you! Like the Oak tree, we must continue to embrace the concept of impermanence, just as we welcome the change of the seasons. Change is our life’s blood, yet there is a cycle of similarity that we can depend on, knowing that low seasons are followed by high ones. But this July look for TRANSFORMATION in its highest form as you ascend to a greater development of self. JOURNEYS to the SOUTH are indicated, as some may literally move locations from one place to another. With July’s gift of the 7 in our sights, the Chariot archetype honors movement as a vehicle for our transcendence. We are preparing to connect our inner and outer selves as one.
Spiritually, our journey returns us to the southern part of our astrological charts. The southern part of our charts is home to Gemini (House 3), Cancer (House 4) and Leo (House 5). Moving south then indicates an opportunity for you to establish a new home base, where you are free to self express and communicate your experiences and knowledge with others. South reminds us of our South Nodes, which offer a sense of comfort and familiarity of knowledge and experience that we are going to need in order to establish ourselves in a grounded, solid way.
The Challenge: No TRANSFORMATION is ever easy, as FEAR, hidden in the vaults of our subconscious, rears it’s cautioned head in protest. It is urgent to remember that FEAR is often False Evidence Appearing Real. When in a dangerous situation, fear can be an ally, warning us to step away from harm. The problem is that this warning becomes a permanent tape reel within the brain, trapping it within the depths of our subconscious and becoming a permanent repeated loop of caution, whether warranted or not. The key is to identify the radio tower of fear and take away its power to control us. This often means taking that JOURNEY back to our home roots, Cancer House 4, to discover the cause. Once discovered, we can surrender to its release and accept the transformation of our inner beings into the light.
July Forecast: Transformation. Time to overcome your fears. Journeys are indicated as your path takes you to a southern locale.
AUGUST : LOSS
The Reward: This is not the first time we have viewed this card on our monthly journey. In March, we felt the sting of LOSS as loved ones passed into the spirit realm, and we offered thanks and gratitude for all they have given us. This month, loss brings us the ever-present reminder that transformation cannot take effect without the loss of what we thought we needed. Like the comfort of our south nodes, it is hard to part with what is familiar. But through the GRACE of divine spirit, God, and the power of love, this loss is manageable. We know that seeds we planted in the SPRING have come to bloom and it’s time to let go and move toward our future selves. CHOICE, and free will, is one of the greatest gifts we have been given. Now we must choose the path that is for our greatest and highest good. This is a time of miracles where we are given a choice to design our future and be the author in our lives.
The Challenge: LOSS is never an easy thing to accept when we believe that it works against us – keeping us from some rich reward. Yet loss is its own gift. Even when it means a loved one will soon pass, that transition will bring them to a place of spirit where pain is not an option unless you choose it. Loss in a personal way, in changing jobs, locations, belongings, or even relationships, reminds us that the discard pile is there for a reason. We must share our resources, and even people that we love, in order to allow them to fly free as a gift for others. Redundancies are deleted so that new ideas may emerge.
Loss opens the way to the expansion of our consciousness. What a gift to see things from a new perspective. With August being the 8th month, loss as a transformation tool is critical, as astrological house 8 ruler Pluto in Scorpio can attest. Through shared resources and smart choices, loss become part of the cycle of growth as we learn to combine our own tools and resources with others.
August Forecast:Loss. We have choices. In order to grow we must honor the seeds of Spring and plant ourselves in fertile soil. Grace helps us to manage the change.
SEPTEMBER : SHARING
The Reward: Your journey has brought you into that space of SHARING yourself with those of like-minded souls. This is a very emotional month as it brings the power element of WATER. Through water we learn ride the waves of the ebb and flow of life. Intuition is our guide as we enter into new partnerships and relationships with others. Our journey has turned us to the NORTH now as we move past the comfort of those things that are familiar, and embrace new wisdom and social relationships. Spiritually, we move to the astrological houses of Sagittarius (House 9), Capricorn (House 10) and Aquarius (House 11.) As we open to greater universal truths and spiritual adventures, new social groups arrive to enhance our careers and open doorways to our wishes and dreams to be fulfilled. Like the Capricorn the Mountain Goat, the sure-footedness of our intuitive insights will help us with our Northern ascent as we work to connect our South Nodes of familiarity to our North Nodes of destiny.
The Challenge: The ability to listen to our inner rhythms, and be confident in ourselves, is an essential component of this month. Water flows downhill as you make your ascent to the top. You must take time to partake in the stream of intuitive consciousness that flows within. You have made it to this point because the teacher within is ready to share her experiences. September is the 9th month and brings the power of Jupiter in Sagittarius to the forefront. It is no coincidence that the school year across the nation often begins in the month of Sagittarius the Teacher. Whether you are entering a new educational paradigm for yourself or becoming a teacher to others, allow those of like mind to assist, in a bond of companionship, and guide you to a stronger version of yourself. Use social groups and media to connect you to your true career or spiritual niche, and allow it to help you expand your reach.
September Forecast: Sharing. Come together with those of like minds & honor the teacher within. Let intuition flow like water, guiding you.
OCTOBER : AUTHENTICITY
The Reward: Knowing thyself is the first step to achieving AUTHENTICITY within. When you are your true divine self, others respond in a like way. Certainly, this month, it is good to be you – literally! Each of us has a unique path and blueprint to follow. There is NO ONE ELSE LIKE YOU – not even a twin. You are designed to take your own path and honor your own purpose. October is the 10th month, honoring astrological house 10 of career and reputation. ENDURANCE is now the name of the game as your career and spiritual journey take you to new heights of exposure and awareness. The element of AIR becomes significant, as things continue to shift the higher you climb. The mind begins to click as new learnings become standard fare. Remember to Breathe as new ideas and new experiences flood into your daily life. The key to success is to give unconditionally – to yourself and others – from the well of COMPASSION within. Not everyone has been able to make this journey with you. Many are waiting for you to come into your fullness, as you honor the teacher within, and are awaiting your guiding light. You have been Graced with the task of enlightenment, so bear the toils of the month with a heart of love and gratitude.
The Challenge: How well do you know yourself? Are you still enduring the slings and arrows of a job unsuited to your divine nature and life path? Knowledge is power. With the element of AIR, we are being called on to breathe new life into our world and try new things. Our journey is filled with toils and troubles, yet those hardships are easily born with love when you are doing what you love, and being who you are meant to be. Use the resources of your support team from September to help you expand. Move from your comfort zone to the curious zone. Employ COMPASSION with yourself as you embark on this new road, and have empathy for what you have been through. Love yourself enough to invest in your success by wondering, “What if.” What if you were more talented or confident than you believed? What if there was more to you than meets the visible eye? Turn that inner eye toward your gifts within and embrace your AUTHENTICITY.
October Forecast: Authenticity. Many have come to you for help. Endurance and compassion are your tools for success. Remember to breathe.
NOVEMBER : MYSTERY
The Reward: This month brings an air of MYSTERY about it. November is the 11th month and doorways open from helpful friends. You have entered the rite of PASSAGE and your skills are being tested for sure. STRENGTH is your advocate as you draw upon your inner power to stay the course. How to stay strong and centered amongst the joys and toils of new experiences? The element of EARTH reminds you to ground yourself into the value of you, and don’t be swayed by others. Earth is a rich and valuable treasure trove of minerals and nutrients that keeps us nourished and grounded. Value her treasures by keeping well-balanced meals within your home and taking time to rest. Balance is the key, as you have entered one of the best times of your life. Mystery reminds us that something new is about to swing your way, but you must trust in the guidance of divine timing and spirit filled revelations before the results are unveiled. In other words, welcome in the power of Faith, as you continue your journey of ascension.
The Challenge: Not knowing is always scary. Are you embarking on a new venture and wonder if all will come out well? Well taking a leap of faith at this time seems the right thing to do. With the energy of MYSTERY shadowing our work, we are not meant to know how things will go. STRENGTH in knowing who we are, and valuing our worth is just the tool we need to power forward. With the element of EARTH beneath us, we are reminded that we walk on solid ground. Our ideas and goals are nourished in the truth and resources of something real. These are no fly by night dreams. Just remember that any risk is just part of the adventure, and we must keep a sense of humility about us. Taking yourself too seriously can cause our venture to fail, just by being afraid to take the leap or to follow the intuitive pleadings of the soul. This is a time of PASSAGE for each of us. Keep the faith, believe in your worth, and you may find your way through the mysterious tunnel of the unknown in no time at all.
November Forecast: Mystery. Surprise! Ground into Earth energy as summer fruits come in. Strength is needed. It’s your rite of passage.
DECEMBER : EMPOWERMENT
The Reward: This month, like the month of May, there is only one oracle card to describe the completion of your journey. If you have chosen to embrace the Freedom of May, you have now imbued yourself with the EMPOWERMENT of being your true and authentic self. Congratulations! You have passed the test and have exited the dark tunnels of the rite of Passage to emerge a stronger, and more evolved version of you. You have become the authority in your life, and have mastered a very steep educational course of spiritual training. Take time to reflect. How do you like the view little mountain goat? Allow the possibilities to circle around you, as you begin to see how creative spirit, and the physical world can manifest dreams. With December honoring the end of one solar year, and the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus’s Divine Birth, enjoy these moments. Be light-hearted in knowing that you have what it takes to travel this path. Smile and relish this as a celebration of life!
The Challenge: EMPOWERMENT can be a frightening experience. Being filled with a sense of your own power is intimidating at the least. But if you took the time to travel this road with others, and invested in your own personal growth, a soulful connection to spirit is on its way. Continue to be open to what that concept of Strength can bring you when you honor your gifts and choose to share them with the world. You can be the AUTHORity of your path.
Keep your eyes on the prize, and realize that December, as the 12th month, invites the energy of the Hanged Man into our existence. The 12th house is our house of spirituality and secrets. Allow yourself to release the crosses you have borne through life so that you can stop hanging from the boughs of past karmic circumstances. Turn your vision of what life is supposed to be upside down by adopting a more positive, and reflective life style. The Choices you made, and make, this month toward the transformation of your soul will be worth it in the end.
December Forecast: Empowerment. You earned it – authority is now yours after an investment in self. Relish this time in your life. You won!
